Over the years, Michael’s operational responsibilities have consisted of directing and managing all financial operations; operating/capital budgets, financial reporting/analysis, cash flow, project feasibility, engagement of auditing firms and overseeing financial audits, account reconciliation, federal/state grant management, AP/AR, payroll, benefits management renewal, and member of audit & finance committee. In addition, Michael has managed 20+ employees and directed accounting/finance, administrative, insurance, servicing, human resource, and information technology (IT) departments.
Other duties consist of the development and completing reporting processes: federal and state Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, HUD Lender Electronic Assessment Portal (LEAP), HUD Real Estate Assessment Center’s (REAC), Fannie Mae Mortgage Bankers’ Financial Reporting Form (MBFRF), Federal Uniform Data System (UDS) data collection and reporting, and reporting directly to the Board of Governors regarding fiscal operations, budget development, and budget variances.
Before joining Bonneville, Michael served as CFO to a local pharmaceutical development company and later with a large, multi-clinic health care center.
Michael was born and raised in Salt Lake City. Michael married Suzanne Gochnour and has four children; Danielle, Spencer, Andrew and Matthew. His hobbies include coaching youth baseball and basketball.
